SHERIDAN COUNTY COURTHOUSE
PHASE 2 REOPENING
To coincide with Montana moving into Phase 2 of “Reopen the Big Sky”, Sheridan County will no longer require that the public wear masks when entering the Courthouse starting Monday, June 1, 2020. The Sheridan County Library is the exception. All patrons entering the Library will still be required to wear a mask. If you have any questions about the Library’s procedures, please contact them at 406-765-3510.
The Courthouse meeting rooms (Jubilee and Bicentennial) and the Civic Center will also be opening for public use on June 1, 2020, with limited capacities and additional rules and procedures. Please contact the Clerk & Recorder’s Office (406-765-3403) for reservations and further information. If you are planning an event, please contact Sheridan County Public Health to file your event plans and discuss health requirements.
Sheridan County asks that the public adheres to the following procedures to help us continue forward with the reopening of Montana:
Follow all Federal and State guidelines, orders, and directives.
Observe social distancing procedures.
If you are sick, please do not come into the Courthouse. (Fever, Cough, etc.)
If you fall into any of the vulnerable categories, please consider not coming into the Courthouse. (Over the age of 65, underlying health conditions, etc.)
We are still encouraging the public to conduct business by mail, phone, and/or electronically if possible or if you don’t feel comfortable entering the Courthouse. Please contact the office you need to do business with if you have any questions.
Thank you for your continued patience.
Dated this 28th day of May 2020.
